Studies have shown that teletherapy achieves similar outcomes as in person therapy. It’s just a matter of preference. I always say try it a couple of times, see if it works for you.
I primarily work with a CBT basic platform but introduce all kinds of other therapies such as Cognitive Restructuring, Insight-Oriented Therapy, Therapeutic Support, Mindfulness and Meditation and many other modalities including EMDR if needed.
This is definitely an individual preference. Individual therapy focuses on how you are emotionally coping with and functioning within your life situations, highlighting the helpful patterns of behavior and the dysfunctional patterns of behavior. Group therapy is more theme oriented. There’s a lot of support, validation,as well as skills and tools being offered and practiced.
I ask that you notify me 24 hours prior to cancellation and there will be no fee. For a no-show or cancellation with in 24 hours of the appointment there will be a full fee paid. Of course, for health emergencies, fees are waived.
My primary modality of therapy is individual and group therapy. However I do sometimes invite a family member to join in on a session in order to achieve further progress, encourage family members to support the therapy process and reach certain goals.
